Barry and Mosley – Squarespace 

 

All of us who were fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to watch the highly talked-about Saltburn will recognise Barry Keoghan in this humorous ad. The character played by Barry travels through an old-world village on a donkey, but instead of delivering newspapers or something more suitable for the period, Keoghan delivers laptops fully set up with a Squarespace website for the owner’s business. This seemingly displays the simplicity of creating a website via the Squarespace platform.

 

Paris Hilton for Frank’s Red Hot

 

Paris Hilton provides another humorous Super Bowl advert, this time for Frank’s Red Hot, a core ingredient for jazzing up those American hot dogs and snacks when watching the big game. Paris shows her adoration for the condiment by encrusting the bottle with pink jewels, and showcases the many food items you can pour Frank’s Red Hot onto. 

 

Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez for Häagen-Dazs

 

If you’re a fast and furious fan, this commercial is for you. In this ad, we see Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez enjoy a delectable Haagen-Dazs whilst driving not so fast, and not so furious. 

 

Kieran Culkin for NerdWallet

 

In this cute and funny ad we’re met with a beluga whale voiced by Kieran Culkin, who retrieves Richard’s dropped phone in the sea and proceeds to inform him about finding the right credit card with NerdWallet. Based on their genius, if a beluga whale tells you to use NerdWallet, that’s exactly what you should do. 

 

Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg for Foundation to Combat Antisemitism

 

This isn’t your usual Super Bowl ad, this commercial takes on an important issue affecting America and the world – hate. Tom Brady and Snoop Dog argue with each other, stating the reasons why people choose to hate each other, highlighting the idiocy of the situation and how it shouldn’t still be an issue. This advert was paid for by the foundation to combat antisemitism, and in our opinion is money well spent. 

 

Instacart brings together loved mascots from different brands

 

This fun and light-hearted advert features an Instacart order being replaced by the mascots who commonly advertise the products. You can see much-loved characters such as the Cheetos Cheetah, the green giant, and the Kool-Aid man. This ad helps to illustrate the efforts that Instacart go to to deliver your much-loved groceries. 

 

ChatGPT – The Intelligence Age

 

We end our favourites with a company that is currently reshaping the way we use the internet – ChatGPT. In this advert named “The Intelligence Age”, we can see nods to the progressions of humans, from creating fire and inventing the wheel, to the invention of the internet. The advert is displayed in a black-and-white dot visualisation, contrasting against the usual celebrities and colours seen on the other adverts on this list.
